Erwin

Erwin lived for several years by himself in a pasture with no food, water, or shelter before coming to the sanctuary. He came to us in poor shape, with his front teeth worn down foraging for what little food he could find, and rain rot and sores on his back due to lack of shelter. After so many years of being alone, the sanctuary must have seemed very chaotic to him upon arrival! But he has adjusted incredibly well and enjoys being around our residents and human companions. Erwin is our quiet Einstein–even his bray is rather muted. He has a soft spot for mini donkeys and has particularly taken to his roommate Vinnie. The two of them next to one another make quite a picture, as just about the largest and smallest donkeys we have in residence.
